The “UB Fit” program is a comprehensive fitness and wellness plan focusing on reducing physical compromise, stress and subsequently increasing your overall health and wellbeing of the mind and body. Being “Fit For Duty” should be our first priority whether you are a first responder or just an everyday citizen.
As First Responders stress is something encountered everyday and can have a significant negative impact on your physical health and body. Studies have shown that 75% of people have experienced physical symptoms as a result of stress. These symptoms include but are not limited to; headaches, fatigue, and strain on the body in combination with feeling of irritability, anger, nervousness, and a lack of motivation.
However, everyone at some point in their life will be a “first responder” – for their family, their friends or their job. The stress people are experiencing comes, in part from the pressure of today’s world. Such behaviors can lead to long term, serious health problems and potentially unemployment and possible workers comp incidents.
Our mission is to help our clients assure that they are physically “Fit for Duty”. Our focus is to Prioritize Consistency over Intensity.
Developing strength is not just for one purpose; it is a journey to living fit. The student must prioritize consistency of their lifestyle over intensity. We work with the students to redevelop habits in a long-term commitment to living healthier, not just an intense beginning with little follow through.

The most basic beliefs, concepts
In addition to the work-outs we need on a daily basis, our bodies require healthy energy and materials to build and maintain our bodies. We need healthy food choices to maintain our cells, reduce stress, build lean muscle and maintain a healthy metabolism. The synergy of all this creates a healthy body to support the demands of athletes and everyday hard workers.
